Nate spent over 10 years as a lawyer until he realized he wanted to live his passion every day. He believes that human beings have an inherent need to commune with the natural world, and that our society has moved too far away from what makes us most human: being in touch with the natural rhythms of life – the rising and setting of the sun, the wind, the rain, and the changes in weather.
Nate grew up sailing on Lake Erie, spent a brief stint in Florida as a fundraiser, and practiced law for more than 10 years. He has founded non-profits, led volunteer service trips throughout the Eastern United States, and helped organizations identify their goals and craft strategies to meet them. He met John at Table 45 and, together, they have been trying to change the world one person at a time.
