Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, John Schoenbeck spent every free moment of his childhood outside, with his brother. Family vacations meant camping and canoeing, while weekends were spent in Cleveland’s MetroParks. A Boy Scout, John enjoys camping, white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, bouldering, and horseback riding. He is an amateur pilot, licensed massage therapist, and professional photographer.
John has worked behind the bar since 2005, training bartenders in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and in Boston as part of the training team for a new restaurant opening. He has appeared on television, been featured on Cleveland.com, and published in Cleveland Magazine. John spent 10 days in Nepal as a photojournalist accompanying Ursuline College on a humanitarian mission to aid impoverished children in the wake of the 2015 earthquake.
